(English version of the website)

Kulturhuset-Lava is a multidisciplinary centre meant for young people to develop their creativity. It is an open space where youngsters can walk in and work with the tools provided (basically everything needed to foster creativity from sewing machines to video and sound editing). They can also apply for projects and get a space for exhibit their works or technical support to realize their ideas. All in all a very inspiring and young orientated open space.

Set up:
Maria Patomella and Carl Amnert were the local curators of the StrangerExhibition in Stockholm, they adapted the Stranger’s texts to Swedish and they branded all communication with the StrangerFestival logo and a film paper layout. The exhibition was organized on 6 different areas (public, private, OneMinute portraits, winners and national videos). The position of these areas allowed people to watch the exhibition while just passing by the space or while working on their own projects since the exhibition was placed in working or open spaces. Kulturhuset-Lava has two different open floors and the exhibition was organized on both levels making it very easy and inviting for a visitor to go through and stop by.
