Coolpolitics Productions have worked on planning and developing all the activities of the StrangerFestival in Amsterdam.
Coolpolitics Productions realises projects in places where young people are present and that have to do with social engagement, knowledge and reflection (i.e. the urge to discover the deeper meaning of life). Coolpolitics organises festival debates, create television shows, produce events and publish in print. Basically, anything to show that they, in and outside of the Netherlands, are indeed engaged and eager to learn.
IDEA
(International Debate Education Association), Netherlands
IDEA is organising and faciliting 60 youth debates in 15 countries in cooperation with other Stranger organisation partners and as part of the StrangerFestival in Amsterdam.
IDEA develops, organises and promotes debate and debate-related activities in communities throughout the world. By offering young people the opportunity to debate the important issues facing them, IDEA strives to cultivate and nurture an engaged, democratic citizenry, underscoring the notions of tolerance, international cooperation, and freedom of expression.
Waag Society, Netherlands
Waag Society is responsible for the construction and the development of the StrangerFestival website.
The Waag Society’s mission is to research the impact of new media technologies on the quality of life by developing (technological) applications together with users. Waag Society is a renown medialab where together with research & development there is room for experimentation with new technologies, art and culture.

For over 30 years, ACAVA been working with communities, developing dialogue through visual art and art initiatives particularly for youth and others at risk of social exclusion.
BEELDENSTORM, Belgium
BEELDENSTORM is a centre and studio complex for the visual arts. Established in 1999 in Brussels, the centre stimulates cultural exchange between artistic disciplines and enables young artists to learn from professionals.
Digital Art Lab, Israel
The Israeli Center for Digital Art (Digital Art Lab) promotes and exhibits new media and video art by Israeli and international artists as well as researching cultural and technological influences on the visual art.

(Drustvo Zaveznikov Mehkega Pristanka), Slovenia
Drustvo Zaveznikov Mehkega Pristanka (Society of Allies of Soft Landing) - DZMP is active in fields of youth culture, media and image education, youth media production and projects with the Roma population.

Kiasma, Finland
Kiasma is part of the Museum of Contemporary Art under the auspices of the National Gallery in Helsinki, Finland. Kiasma is an active centre for visual culture and a dynamic local meeting place. Kiasma theatre extends activities towards the performing arts.

Steim is one of the leading international electronic music centers dedicated exclusively to the performance arts and has been supporting and served as a meeting place for musicians, composers, choreographers and media artists for nearly 40 years.
Videantz, Belgium
Videantz is a neighbourhood TV platform and videolab for youngsters 16 + with a passion for new media to meet, discuss, edit, watch and learn about different forms of visual media. The Videantz videolab is housed in Kavka youth centre in Antwerp.
VJ-Academy, The NetherlandsThe VJ Academy will provide all the visuals for the Strangerfestival during the Opening Ceremony (Thursday) , the Expert Meetings and the debate (Friday) and the StrangerAwards (Saturday). Sense Visuals and Vision Impossible offer young Vj-talent the opportunity to become a professional VJ. Together with experienced VJs the young VJ-talent gets the change to practice their skills.

RESEARCH PARTNER
Demos, UK
UK think-tank, Demos, will conduct research on young Europeans using StrangerFestival as their main case study. First findings will be presented at the StrangerFestival in July. Their research will subsequently be published in late autumn 2008 with events in Amsterdam, London and Helsinki, providing teachers, cultural operators, the entertainment industry, parents and journalists a fresh take on who are today’s young Europeans and what they strive for.
Demos is the think tank for 'everyday democracy'. Their aim is to put this idea into practice by working with organisations in ways that make them more effective and legitimate.
